Kattha powder, or Khadir, is a natural extract obtained from the heartwood of the Acacia catechu tree. It is primarily celebrated in traditional hair care for its ability to strengthen hair strands, reduce dandruff, and add a deep, rich reddish-brown or burgundy hue when mixed with henna. Its potent astringent and antimicrobial properties make it excellent for oral care (treating bleeding gums) and for managing skin conditions like eczema or excessive oiliness.
